Essential Qualification
For the post of Constable Civil Police, Fireman & PAC-
Candidates must have a 12th Passed from Any recognized Board or it’s equivalent education recognized by the government.
#Note: Appearing candidates are not eligible for UP Police Constable 2023 recruitment. Candidates should have completed their graduation till the last date of application.
Preferential Qualifications (No additional marks)
There will be no weightage (as additional marks) of preferential qualification, but in case of two or more candidates getting equal marks, the candidates of preferential qualification will be given preference.
Allowed Preferential Qualifications to break the tie:
- Candidate have obtained ‘O’ level certificate in Computer from DOEACC / NIELIT, or
- Candidate served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or

UP Constable Vacancy 2023 | Online Application Process
At the time of online application, the candidate will need to upload / attach a scan copy of all the certificates/ marksheet related to their qualification and it will be necessary to fill the details of the correct certificate number, serial number and marks etc in the application form.
The process of filling the ‘ UP Constable 2023 Vacancy Online Application Form’ will be as follows: –
1. Candidates are advised that before filling their UP Constable 2023 application form, carefully study the official advertisement available on the website of Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow http://prpb.gov.in/ .
2. Open the Board’s website http://prpb.gov.in/.
3. On clicking the All notifications / advertiesment link, two links “View Advertiesment” and “User instruction” will open. By clicking on “View advertiesment”, candidates can see detailed instructions and releases. To fill the online form, the candidate must read the user instructions.
4. Click on the “Apply” button, and then click on the “Candidate Registration” option.
5. The process of filling the application form is divided into five parts.
- Candidate registration
- Photo and signature upload
- Filling of the remaining details of the form
- Fee Payment and Application Form Submission
- Taking printout of form
First stage – Candidate Registration
In this section, the candidate has to fill the necessary information related to himself. All pink background fields are required to be filled in.
There are clear instructions for filling the information for each field. Candidates should read these instructions carefully and fill the application form accordingly.
Step1: Go to the UPPRPB board’s official website upprpb.gov.in.Step2: Click on the ‘Candidate Registration’ button.
Candidate registration button will be found in front of UP Constable 2023 online advertisement on UPPRPB board’s website
Step3: A format of the application will be displayed on the screen after clicking on the ‘Candidate Registration’ button.Step4: Candidates should register by filling the asked information (like Full Name, Father’s/ Husband’s Name, Age, Category, Gender, Nationality, Education Qualifications, Valid Email ID, Contact/ Communication Address, Contact Number, etc. without making any grammatical and spelling mistake) and other relevant Information has to be filled in correctly.
Step5: After entering the verification code shown in the “Enter Verification Code” at the bottom of the page, click the “Submit” button.
Step6: As soon as the form is submitted, “Registration Slip” will be displayed on the second page, which will contain 11 digit registration number details. The candidate must print a copy of Registration Slip, which will be used for future work.
Keep in mind that for the next step, the registration number and password will have to be entered by the candidate at the asked place to login.
Second Stage – Photo and Signature Upload
The color photograph of the candidate should conform to the following standard:
- The facial image should look clear. There should not be excessive shine / shadow on the face. It is clearly visible from the chin to the pinnacle.
- Both sides (both ears) of the face are clearly visible.
- When wearing glasses, the eyes should be clear and the lens should not be colored.
- Look directly at the camera.
- Expression should be neutral (eyes open, mouth closed).
- Plain background of white or light gray is required.
- The size of the photo should be 35 mm (1. 4 in) by 45 mm (1.75 in). In which about 70% of the photo is covered by the face.
- Photo must be taken within 6 months.
- Candidates should take their 3.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm long color photograph and scan it in (* .jpe, *. Jpeg, *. Jpg, *) format with a minimum size of 20 Kb and a maximum size of less than 50 Kb. Afterwards upload it.
Signature of the candidate
The candidate should cut a piece of white paper 3.5 cm wide and 1 .5 cm long and put his full signature on it with black ink. This complete signature will be valid throughout the recruitment process. The file will be in the format (* .jpe, *. Jpeg, *. Jpg, *), with a minimum size of 20 Kb and a maximum size of less than 50 Kb. Afterwards upload it.Step1: After the entry of desired information, enter the code shown in “Enter Verification Code”. After this, the candidate will go to another page as soon as they click the “Continue” button.
Third Stage – Filling the remaining details and educational/ preferential qualification information
Step1: After uploading the photo / signature, when the candidate will enter the verification code and continue the form, a new page will open in front of it and it will be written next to the check box “I declare that I have read the user instructions and detailed advertisement”, if the candidate Tick the check box only then he will be able to fill the further form.Step2: A new form will open as soon as the check box is ticked, in which the candidate has to fill his Domicile Certificate details (if the candidate does not want to submit any type of Horizontal or Vertical Reservation claim, he does not need to fill the Domicile Certificate details).
If the candidate is in category (OBC / SC / ST), then the details of the category certificate will have to be filled.Step3: It is mandatory for the candidate to fill the preference of the applied positions. In addition, fill all the information asked in the form related to their educational/ preferential qualification permanent and correspondence address etc.
After filling all the information, the candidate will have to upload his/her educational qualification /preferential qualification documents scanned copy.Step4: After this, the candidate will have to agree to a declaration, In case of disagreeing with the declaration, the process for filling the form will automatically stop.
#Note: Before submitting the application, if the candidate has to modify any information or scan copy, then by clicking the edit button next to each section, they can modify it.
Candidates should note that the scanned documents and the information provided them are double checked before paying the fees. Because after submission of application, no modification can be done.
Fourth Stage – Paying application fees
Candidates can pay the prescribed fee through Credit card / Debit card, Internet Banking or SBI’s e-challan immediately following the instructions given on the website. On successful payment of the fee, Payment Acknowledgment Receipt (PAR) will be generated in which the details of the payment will be mentioned
On this, you can finally submit your form by clicking submit on the bottom left side and Proceed for Final Submission on the right side and take a printout of the same.
To pay the fee through e-challan, the candidate will have to download the e-challan of SBI and go to any branch of SBI and pay the prescribed fee.
After paying the fee, using the Transaction ID on the e-challan, the candidate can complete the further process of filling the application form at the same time.
If for any reason the candidate is not able to pay the prescribed fee immediately, then during the period of depositing the fee, by clicking on the Candidate Login given on the main page, through Credit Card / Debit card, Internet Banking or E-Challan of SBI. , Following the instructions given on the website, can pay the prescribed fee.
Fifth Stage – Taking Print Out of Application Form
It is advised to the candidates that after submitting their application form lastly, they must obtain the print out of that application form, by clicking on the print option.
At the time of scrutiny of the records by the candidates, a copy of this form has to be submitted.
