Candidates applying for the posts of Railway NTPC Test will be selected based on the following criteria:
Selection Procedure:

• Computer Based Test (CBT)-1
• Computer Based Test (CBT)-2
• Document Verification

• The examination duration will be 120 Minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by Scribe.
• The Section wise distribution given in the above table is only indicative and there may be some variation in the actual question paper. There will be negative marking and 1/3 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
• Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR-40%, EWS-40%, OBC (Non-Cremay Layer)- 30%, SC- 30%. This percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.
• Where a second stage CBT is deemed necessary and held, the Railway Administration reserves the right to treat the first stage CBT as a qualifying test for the purpose of shortlisting a reasonable number of candidates for the second stage.
• The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choice

RRB NTPC 2019 Exam will be conducted in two stages i.e. 1st stage(Prelims) and 2nd stage(Mains). The Syllabus for RRB NTPC stage 1 and stage 2 are the same. The main change in stage 1 and stage 2 for the RRB NTPC exam is exam pattern. • जहां एक दूसरे चरण सीबीटी को आवश्यक और आयोजित माना जाता है, रेलवे प्रशासन दूसरे चरण के लिए उचित संख्या में उम्मीदवारों को सूचीबद्ध करने के उद्देश्य से पहले चरण सीबीटी को एक योग्यता परीक्षण के रूप में मानने का अधिकार रखता है।

आरआरबी एनटीपीसी 2019 परीक्षा दो चरणों में आयोजित की जाएगी अर्थात् पहला चरण (पेलिम्स) और दूसरा चरण (मेन्स)। आरआरबी एनटीपीसी चरण 1 और चरण 2 के लिए पाठ्यक्रम समान हैं। RRB NTPC परीक्षा के लिए चरण 1 और चरण 2 में मुख्य परिवर्तन परीक्षा पैटर्न है। आरआरबी एनटीपीसी परीक्षा में 3 खंड शामिल होंगे यानी गणित (अंकगणित क्षमता), रीजनिंग और जनरल इंटेलिजेंस और जनरल अवेयरनेस (सामान्य विज्ञान)। विस्तृत आरआरबी एनटीपीसी सिलेबस का उल्लेख नीचे किया गया है:
