What is the validity of ccc exam?

If you pass the ccc exam once its validity period is lifetime. This means that you only have to pass the ccc exam once.

Q1  What is Course on Computer Concepts (CCC)?
A1 CCC is a certificate program that provides basic knowledge about computer and information technology. CCC certification is an innovative course that aims to spread digital literacy in the country. The course is designed to give an opportunity to the common man to attain basic computer literacy and gain knowledge of information technology. It equips a person to use computers for professional as well as day to day use. It provides the theoretical background and practical knowledge of various computer software like MS-Paint, MS-Word, MS-Excel, etc.

Q2 What do you learn after completing the CCC course?

  • Recognize the basic components of a computer and it’s terminology,
  • Understand data, information and file management,
  • Create documents using Word Processor, Spreadsheet and Presentation Software,
  • Understand Computer Networks and viewing information on the internet (the web),
  • Receiving and Sending e-mails,
  • Able to Use e-governance application, etc.

CCC exam is conducted online by NIELIT 10 times throughout the year except for the month of January and July.

Q3 What is NIELIT?
A3 National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) is an autonomous society that works under the Govt. of India to carry out human resource development activities in the field of Information, Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT).

NIELIT was formed in 1994 and was formerly known as DOEACC Society. It is administered by the  Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Government of India. It offers various programs related to IECT at different levels and CCC certificate course is one the digital literacy programs offered by this organization.

Q4  What are the eligibility criteria for CCC Course?
A4   There are no minimum or maximum requirements for filling the CCC application form. The candidates can appear in the NIELIT CCC Examination through following three modes and the eligibility criteria for each mode are indicated against each:

  • Candidates sponsored by NIELIT approved Institutes permitted to conduct CCC Course – irrespective of any educational qualifications;
  • Candidates sponsored by Government recognized Schools/Colleges having obtained a Unique Identity number from NIELIT for conducting CCC – irrespective of any educational qualifications; and
  • Direct Applicants (without essentially undergoing the Accredited Course or without being sponsored by a Govt. recognized School/College) -irrespective of any educational qualification;

Q5  What is the minimum age required for applying for CCC Examination?
A5   Since this is a course on computer appreciation, there is no minimum or maximum age limit for applying for CCC Examination.

Q6  What is the detailed syllabus of CCC:
A6 The detailed syllabus is available on NIELIT website i.e. http://www.nielit.gov.in/content/digital-literacy-courses

Q7   What is the duration of the CCC Course?
A7   Normally the CCC course duration is 80 hours (Theory: 25 hrs + Practical: 50 hrs. + Tutorial: 5 hrs.)

Q8  How to apply in the CCC Examination?
A8   The candidates can apply for the CCC examination through online mode only. The candidate can apply for the CCC examination through online facility of examination form and fee submission offered by NIELIT. 

Q9  What is the fee of the CCC Examination?
A9   The examination fee is Rs 500.00 + Service tax as applicable.

Q10  Can I submit the examination form of CCC with a late fee and what is the late fee?
A10   No.

Q11  What is the schedule of the CCC examination?
A11  The CCC course examination is conducted 10 times in a year, the schedule of CCC exam is given below:

Q12 What documents need to be submitting along with the examination form?
A12 No documents are required to be submitted at NIELIT Centre.

Q13  What is the mode of Examination fee to be pay in case of an Online Examination form?
A13 The candidate/institute make the payment through the following modes : –
i) Online (Credit/ Debit card/ Netbanking)
ii) NEFT
iii) CSC-SPV

Q14 Where I can submit the examination form?
A14  There is no need to submit any documents/certificates at NIELIT Centres.

Q15 From where can I get the details of the Regional Centre?
A15  The details of Regional Centre vis-à-vis state are available on the website of NIELIT http://www.nielit.gov.in/student411ccc.htm.

Q16 How many papers are there in the CCC examination?
A16  Only 1 paper.

Q17  What type of questions are asked in the NIELIT CCC exam?
A17 The examination of CCC comprises of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s) and 50 True/False type questions of 1 mark each.

Q18 What are the minimum marks required to qualify CCC successfully?
A18 50% marks are the minimum marks required.

Q19 What is the mode of examination?
A19  The examination is conducted in Online mode i.e. no pen/pencil/paper is required.

Q20 How many questions to be attempt and what is the duration of examination?
A20  The examination of CCC comprises of 100  questions of 1 mark each, and the candidate is required to attempt the 100 questions in 90 minutes. There is no negative marking.

Q21 Where I can appear in the CCC Examination?
A21  Normally, the exam centers allotted to candidates is according to his/her center choice (city) filled by the candidate. NIELIT has the right to allot the other exam center that has not filled by the candidate.

Q22 Can I submit more than 1 examination form in a single exam cycle?
A22  No.

Q23 Can I apply again for another CCC examination cycle, in case I failed to pass the CCC examination? Is there any limit to apply for CCC examination?
A23  Yes, you can apply again in other exam cycle. No, there is no limit yet.

Q24 Can I apply again for another CCC examination cycle, in case I passed the CCC examination?
A24 Yes, you can apply again in other exam cycle.

Q25  How I can get the confirmation that my examination form has been processed?
A25  The Candidate can check the status at http://student.nielit.gov.in

Q26 From where do I get my Admit Card and what can I do, in case there is mistake in the admit card?
A26  The admit card can be downloaded from the student online portal http://student.nielit.gov.in. The admit card is according to details furnished by the candidates in the Online Exam Application Form. No correction request will be entertained.

Q27 Where I can check the result of the CCC Examination?
A27  The result will be declared on the NIELIT website http://student.nielit.gov.in.

Q28 When the result will be declared after the examination?
A28  Under normal circumstances, the result will be declared after 15 days from the completion of the examination cycle.

Q29 What do the different grades awarded to the candidates after examination, represent?
A29  The examination result is represented as grades. The legend of grades is:
D: 50% – 54%, C: 55% – 64%, B: 65% – 74%, A: 75% – 84%, S: 85% and over, F : Fail (<50%)

Q30 If I get admission to O/A/B or C level of NIELIT after successfully completing CCC can I get any benefit of CCC?
A30 No.

Q31 If I pass the CCC examination, who will issue the CCC certificate?
A31  The CCC certificates to the successful candidates will be issued by the NIELIT.

Q32 If I pass the CCC examination, can I have to collect my CCC certificate from NIELIT or it will be dispatched to me?
A32  With effect from November 2014, digitally signed e-certificates are being issued to the candidates who pass the CCC examination conducted by NIELIT. The digitally signed e-certificates can be downloaded by the successful candidates from the website of NIELIT http://nielit.gov.in/certificate/. Successful candidates can save the pdf file of the e-certificate of CCC for future use.

Q33 What can I do, in case of a mistake found in my certificate? What is the process of reissuance in this case?
A33  No correction request will be entertained by NIELIT for online examination application form submission, implemented with effect from 5-Sep-2013. The correction request will be entertained only for the offline form filled by the candidates prior to the launch of the online portal(http://student.nielit.gov.in). Q34 What can I do, in case of lost/mutilated certificates? What is the process of reissuance in this case?
A34  A duplicate certificate is issued to those candidates whose certificate has been lost/mutilated. The guidelines are given at http://www.nielit.gov.in//sites/default/files/headquarter/Notification_for_Reissuance.pdf

Q35 I have downloaded my e-certificate, but the e–certificate displays a question mark and signature are not verified message?
A35  This occurs when the digital certificate and digital signature associated with the PDF file have not yet been verified on your computer system. You need to verify the digital signatures on your computer system.

Q36 How to validate digital signatures on the e-certificate?
A36  The steps to validate digital signatures are provided at the website of NIELIT http://www.nielit.gov.in/certificate/pdf/Steps_to_Verify_Digital_Certificate.pdf. After the validation of digital signatures, the digital signature should now display a checkmark.

Q37 Whom to contact in case of any query related to CCC examination and certification?
A37 Candidates can contact the regional office and if the query is not resolved at the regional level then it can be escalated to NIELIT HQ New Delhi.

NIELIT CCC Course FAQs | Miscellaneous

Q1 Is a NIELIT CCC Course Certificate equivalent to O level?
A1 No, CCC is a fundamental course mainly about how to operate the computer while O level is a training program a step towards software professionals. Also, CCC is a one month short term course while O level is a one year program.

Q2 Is a NIELIT CCC Course is equivalent to DCA?
A2 No, CCC stands for Course on Computer Concepts while DCA stands for Diploma in Computer Application. The two have almost the same curricular but they are different, CCC is a 1-2 months course on the other hand DCA is 6-12 months course depending on the institute.

Q3 Can 10th passed students apply for the CCC course?
A3 Yes

Q4 Does CCC is a programming language?
A4 No, CCC is not a programming language. It is a basic computer literacy program for society.

Q5 I have done 12th from Commerce stream, can I apply for the exam?
A5 Yes, you can appear for the exam

Q6 Which is better CCC or O level for the SSC CGL exam?
A6 There is no need for CCC or O-level for the SSC CGL exam.

Q7 Is the CCC certificate enough for the IBPS clerk exam?
A7 CCC is not mandatory for the IBPS exam.

Q8 I had a computer as a subject in my tenth. Is CCC still compulsory for me to get a gov job?
A8 Yes

Q9 There has been a mistake in my application form regarding my birthdate is there any way to correct it?
A9 No, Apply again next month.

Q10 Can I directly fill the form of the CCC exam without doing a 3months course & can get the CCC certificate?
A10 Yes.
