CSIR UGC NET & JRF Process :-
National Testing Agency will conducted the written test for the National Eligibility Test of CSIR UGC NET & JRF. Candidates who got equal to or above the cut off marks all those aspirants will be pass the exam. As each year the number of aspirants sit in a Government Exams increases so the competition level also increases the candidates are therefore suggested daily practice the CSIR UGC NET & JRF Mock Paper to boost their preparation strategy.

CSIR UGC NET & JRF Exam Centres:-

The test will be held at 27 Centres spread all over India, as specified along with centre codes:

Bangalore (1), Bhavnagar (2), Bhopal (3), Bhubaneshwar (4), Chandigarh (5), Chennai (6), Cochin (7) Delhi (8), Guntur (9), Guwahati (10), Hyderabad (11), Imphal (12), Jammu (13), Jamshedpur (14) Jorhat (15), Karaikudi (16), Kolkata (17), Lucknow (18), Nagpur (19) Pilani (20), Pune (21), Raipur (22), Roorkee (23), Srinagar (24), Thiruvananthapuram (25), Udaipur (26) Varanasi (27).

A candidate may opt for any of the above centres. No request for change of centre would ordinarily be granted.

CSIR UGC NET & JRF Written Exam Pattern:-

The single paper MCQ based test will be held tentatively in 15th December 2019. The CSIR NET entrance exam will be held in two sessions; morning 09.00 AM to 12.00 noon and afternoon 02.00 PM to 05.00 PM.

The MCQ test paper of each subject shall carry a maximum of 200 marks; the exam shall be for duration of three hours. The question paper shall be divided in three parts.

The Test will be held in total of five subjects viz., Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Earth, Physical Sciences Chemical Sciences, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences. 

Candidates should use only black ballpoint pen and not pencil to fill in their particulars in the OMR Answer Sheet/Question Paper Booklet and to darken the appropriate circle to mark their answers in their OMR answer sheet.

The Question Booklet for this test will be printed in Hindi & English Version.

Negative marking for wrong answers, wherever required, shall be applicable as per subject wise scheme of Exam.

Q.1:- What is CSIR UGC NET ?

Answer: CSIR UGC NET is a national level entrance examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship (LS) in the field of Science including Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Earth Atmospheric Ocean and Planetary Sciences.

Q.2:- Whether or not CSIR NET UGC has negative marking?

Answer: Yes, there is negative marking for wrong answers and shall be applicable as per subject wise scheme of Exam

Q.3:- How many attempts for CSIR UGC NET ?

Answer: There is no limit on number of attempts for CSIR NET (JRF) exam. Students can keep appearing for exam till the age of 28 years for general and for SC/ST/Persons with Disability(PwD)/ female applicant till the age of 33 years and 31 years in case of OBC (Non Creamy Layer).

Answer: JRF stands for Junior Research Fellowship.

Q.5:- CSIR NET & JRF Exam date?

Answer: CSIR has scheduled the Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship (LS) on 15th December 2019.

Q.6:- How much stipend is given when one clears CSIR NET exam?

Answer: The stipend of a JRF selected through CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) will be Rs.25,000/ p.m. for the first two years. In addition, annual contingency grant of Rs.20,000/- per fellow will be provided to the University / Institution. On Completion of two years as JRF and if the Fellow is registered for PhD, the Fellowship will be upgraded to SRF (NET) and the stipend will be increased to Rs.28,000/- p.m. for the 3rd and subsequent years, on the basis of assessment of Fellows’ research progress/ achievements through interview by an Expert Committee.

Q.7:- How many times CSIR NET Exam is conducted in a year?

Answer: The tests are conducted twice in a year on all India basis generally in the months of June and December

Q.8:- What is the age limit & relaxation for JRF (NET) & LS (NET)?

Answer: For JRF (NET): Maximum 28 years (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, Persons with Disability(PwD) and female applicants and 03 years in case of OBC (Non Creamy Layer) applicants}).
For LS (NET): No upper age limit.
